Paris, 1922. At the beginning of January, three of those who will be the most influential writers of the 20th century meet for dinner at the house of another no less important: Ezra Pound. James Joyce and T. S. Eliot have just finished respectively writing Ulysses and The Waste Land, which will be published later that year thanks to the support of the host. At the end of December, with both works having already appeared and with Pound's Cantos in full phase of composition, Joyce and W. B. Yeats also meet for dinner in the same place, once again welcomed by the hospitality of Pound, who advocated so much for the renovation of literature and the arts. Between both dates, not only does another dinner take place in which Joyce meets Proust, Stravinsky and Picasso, but in different encounters and disagreements the effervescence of the culture of the moment is manifested, with the emergence of surrealism in a Paris in which they live many Americans like the bookstore Sylvia Beach or the beginner Hemingway.
