660 mujeres
Cerrada, Cristina
Here are fifteen stories about women, with violence as the underlying theme or thread. A violence sometimes exercised against them and others by them, sometimes contained and other times unleashed. Tired and dissatisfied wives. Desclassed young people who refuse to accept what life has in store for them. Secondary characters or protagonists, moving among men who ignore, repudiate or need them, seem to have become the object of a propaganda campaign. Stories where the female character transgresses the limits of gender and appears devoid of the usual traits attributed by Western culture: helplessness, submission, victimization. The consequences of their actions go beyond a simple sentence of innocence or guilt. The verdict is left to the reader.
