Sándor Lester, exiled in a cold European city, leads a lonely and monotonous life. Immersed in an alienating routine in the watch factory where he works, he spends his free time writing, visiting people in the same situation or in the company of Yolande, a woman he does not love. One day he meets Line, a new employee of the factory who comes from the same country. Although she is married and has a young daughter, Sándor will fall in love with the newcomer and a bond that is as intimate and essential as it is painful and destructive will emerge between the two.
