Emma travels to Scotland to spend a year at the prestigious St. Dunbridge Academy, the school where her parents met. In addition to trying to forget her boyfriend, the other reason for going to study there is to find her father, who she knows nothing about but who seems to be living in Edinburgh. Once she arrives at boarding school, the last thing she needs from her is to be distracted by new friends, especially Henry, one of the school's prefects.
