Castaño Senra, Carlos
The story of a man, still young, who needs to grow old as soon as possible in order to "retire" and thus stop his time. Despite considering himself a rationalist, or perhaps because he is, a man intends to accelerate his desired aging by erasing all of his work past, symbolically eliminating his former co-workers. By getting rid of the past years that are left over, he argues, he will reach the future age necessary to reset the counter of the present to zero. This is a story of doubtful or unstable friendships and identities, where the daily presence of death constitutes an invigorating fear. It stars a Walserian and sleepy flâneur, endowed for the enjoyment of reality, but in permanent conflict with the prevailing notion of reality.
