The "Bhagadvadgita" is one of the great works of world literature and probably the most important in Indian literature. Its pages stage the fascinating dialogue between the god Krsna and the hero Arjuna, shortly before the battle that will decide the fate of an entire people. Simple and at the same time profound, the work is an exciting synthesis of centuries of reflection on the human condition and the place of man in the cosmos. The "Song of the Blessed" is part of "Mahabharata", the great Indian epic poem, and raises the essential questions of all-time philosophy: the nature of matter, consciousness and soul, as well as the practice of the meditation. The present translation marks a milestone for its thoughtful conciseness, its non-literal fidelity and its deep understanding of the spirit that permeates the poem. The teachings of this work that fascinated Tolstoy and Gandhi, are still perfectly valid today. This edition is completed with a full transcription of the Sanskrit poem and a presentation by Puscar Pujol, author of the first dictionary of this language published in our country
