The book addresses life and, above all, the causes championed by the seventeen women who, from 1905 to 2018, have received the Nobel Peace Prize, with the aim of motivating us to get to know them, their ideals, aspirations and achievements. Women from the most heterogeneous social backgrounds and ideologies, representatives of different ways of promoting peace, and emblematic examples of the great potential that women symbolize in the defense and vindication of democracy, non-violence, disarmament, understanding between the peoples and different religions, social justice, human rights, equality between men and women, the environment and helping the most disadvantaged and marginalized on earth.
