Castilla frente a Inglaterra
batallas navales y desembarcos en la guerra de los Cien Años 1337-1453
Martínez Canales, Francisco
The conflict caused by the claim of the French crown by Edward III, King of England, holder for his part of the Duchy of Guyena, claimed by Felipe VI of France, is considered as the fundamental cause of a long war that began in 1337 and was lasted for more than a century. One of the peculiarities of this Franco-English conflict was to produce a general internationalization of other confrontations, causing the participation, to a greater or lesser extent, of Castilians, Aragonese, Navarrese, Portuguese, Flemish, Scots, Welsh, etc.
