Catalunya amb ulls estranyats

el Procés des de Stanford : de la consulta del 9-N 2014 a la setència del 14-O 2019

Resina, Joan Ramon

These are the reflections of an uprooted man who shares with some readers, those of his fifth, a childhood and adolescence in a Catalonia that no longer exists or that exists unconsciously incorporated -in inherited habits, in involuntary reflections, in apriorisms unexplained and ultimately in cultural memory, that is, imagined- in the lives of later generations, for whom that past that is still my home is already a foreign country. With that Catalonia that is falling apart over the years, I am linked by the memory and the fascination with its destiny. And although it cannot be said objectively that I look at Catalan reality with foreign eyes, it can be said that I look at it with strange eyes. It would be natural, then, for these articles to seem out of focus with the reality seen up close, which, while not the only way to see it, is the only way to live it.
