Celtiberia show
Carandell, Luis
They say that the Spaniards form a hidden and prehistoric race; fusion of north and south, of the Celtic "barbarians" and the "sweet" Iberians; mix of Arabs, Jews, Goths and even imported Indians; seasoned with the Counter-Reformation, the Inquisition, counter-revolutions and economic plans. It is said that these barbarous subjects, naive and brutal, intelligent, witty, cynical, generous and envious, die out as time goes by. But Luis Carandell took them to the field of letters with no other intention than to liven up the evening with his private show: the great Celtiberian circus.
