Cosmosonoridades: cante-gitano y canción-gyu

epistemologías del sentir

Periáñez Bolaño, Iván

Moving from the worldview, which only recognizes what it sees or fits into its gaze, to the cosmosound, which (us) represents the alien that we still do not know. Overcome, while going beyond, the limitations of the method and its categories, of science and its criteria, of the epistemology of the global North, to reach the voice and its sound, dialogue and its communion, to unite with the others and the others. Leaving aside the objectification of counting to delve into the feeling of singing. Cosmosonoridades, which must be read as a conversation, seeks to broaden the available plural experiences of the world and its worlds. Along with other historical and contemporary realities self-represented in full consciousness, this work locates the cosmosonic emergencies of cante-gypsyo and canción-gyu. From the contacts and encounters produced between both cultures, the following consideration and hope arises: their vernacular sonorities are more than music, they are epistemologies of feeling. In this debate-conversation, Iván Periáñez invites us to re-think these musics from the global South as knowledge, practices and experiences, claiming that they correspond to bequeathed and situated patrimonies that represent available and possible alternatives to Eurocentric universality and its colonialisms. With the listening-learning of this knowledge, which is unknown, folklorized or omitted by the global North, we can constitute genuine justice from our bodies, we can dance towards emancipation.
