Cruces rojas
Filipenko, Sasha
A young man named Alexander moves into an apartment in Minsk. He arrives with a tragedy behind him and no intention of making new friends. But Tatiana Alekséievna, his nonagenarian neighbor, will insist on sharing her memories of him with him before Alzheimer's completely erases them. As a typist for the Russian Interior Ministry during World War II, Tatiana was in charge of communicating with the International Red Cross about the soldiers captured by the enemy side; among them, her husband. She then she would spend years in a concentration camp. Tatiana's memory, soon to be extinguished, is affirmed as a testimony to the arbitrariness of the Soviet regime and the impiety towards her own people.
