Da calzada ao casco vello de Vigo

Three historical and architectural routes through Vigo that go from A Calzada, on the border with Teis, to Porta do Sol and Carral Street. Without leaving historic Vigo, beyond what the Vigueans call "Old Town" there is also history. From where the old 17th century walls were built and towards the east, where the historic parishes of Santiago de Vigo and Santa María de Vigo meet, there has been a lot of human activity for more than two thousand years. To get to know this past and its traces in the present, this book offers three historical and architectural routes that go from A Calzada, on the border with Teis, to Porta do Sol and Carral Street. Accompanied by the book, the walker will be able to visit the axes of García Barbón-Policarpo Sanz and Rosalía de Castro-Marqués de Valladares, as well as the old seawall that marks the Areal and the first landfills.
