Del sentimiento trágico de la vida y otros ensayos
Unamuno, Miguel de
Unamuno is not only one of the most outstanding literary characters in our literature, but he is also considered a crucial philosopher who became a leading figure in existentialist thought. This volume brings together three of Unamuno's most important philosophical works. In The Life of Don Quixote and Sancho (1905), he offers a philosophical exegesis of the great work of Miguel de Cervantes and which would lay the foundations for his existentialist thought developed in Del tragico de la vida (1912) and La agonía de la Christianidad ( 1925). In these two works, Unamuno reflects on the meaning of life, morals and religion, reason and passions, as well as scientific thought.
