Democracia patriarcal

This essay thoroughly analyzes the pernicious effects of neoliberal patriarchy on the well-being, empowerment and democratization of men and women, focusing on four dimensions: patriarchal domination in paid work, in unpaid work, in the state and in the public socio-political sphere. Issues that, to date, have only been dealt with in isolation. Something with which this book comes to break, which interrelates all of them in a structural way, questioning them and also including another analytical dimension, symbolic violence, related to the imposition of negative categories of thought. Thus, it offers us a whole conceptual system to better understand the functioning and consequences of the current neoliberal patriarchy. A first step to change it from the root.
