Dos sherpas

Two Sherpas are peering into the abyss. They contemplate the body of an English tourist who has fallen from the highest mountain in the Himalayas. They talk to each other: not much, just a few words. The sun illuminates the snow on the southern slope of Everest; the wind blows And that is, one could say, all that happens in this novel by Sebastián Martínez Daniell. What procedure is put into play, then, so that this simple and sober scene explodes into meanings throughout a hundred chapters? The answer is this book, the only possible way to relate that Englishman and those mountain guides stopped in the middle of a mountain range with the evolution of history and its dialectic.
