After the 2011 tsunami, a man finds a stray German Shepherd who becomes his and his mother's faithful companion, who suffers from dementia. However, one day the young man dies in a traffic accident and the animal is adopted by another person, a thief. Throughout history, this dog will act as a guardian for several owners, until he meets his last master, a boy who had been looking for him all this time. An emotional story that travels through Japan from the affected area of Tohoku to Kyushu, while telling the story of the epic journey of a dog and the different caretakers of it.
