El circo del desaliento

The circus of despair is the first graphic novel reflecting a solid career already as a cartoonist by David Rubín, spearhead of a new batch of Galician creators. With a prologue and epilogue by Miguelanxo Prado and Carlos Portela, respectively, opens the volume "Where nobody can get there", an intense long and unpublished story, which continues in a series of short stories made for the occasion, along with others already pre-published in different magazines. Rubín relies on the character of the superhero to develop stories that draw on his concerns and his personal experiences, where the poetics of the loser are very present, filtered at times by a certain vital optimism that leaves some room for hope.
