El japonés de El Quijote

El japonés de El Quijote

Pajares, Santiago

This is what happens to Toshio Shinobu when, after the death of his father, he decides to leave Japan for the first time to see the setting of the book that has marked his life: Don Quixote. Shinobu will travel thousands of kilometers until he reaches a town in La Mancha where, in this wonderful novel, he will discover landscapes, people and customs unimaginable for him. This is how he ends up staying with Herminia, a widow with whom he will establish a very particular relationship. Just as Alonso Quijano launched himself towards windmills mistaken for giants, the protagonist of this story will travel the immense plain of La Mancha on his bicycle and will gradually deepen his bond with his new neighbors, until he finds something that he did not even know that he I was looking for.
