Year 447 AD. C. "They want to kill me" is the disturbing message that young Festo receives from Asturica, Hispania. A few years ago, his friend Eugene had to flee from Rome after being accused of supporting doctrines other than Catholicism, the official religion of an empire that is nearing its end, but that will do anything to maintain his power. Based on the actual existence of the book Memoria Apostolorum, Santiago Castellanos masterfully recreates in this historical thriller the decline of the Roman Empire, but this time from a different prism: that of those first heretics who showed us that, both then and today , the most dangerous weapon a man can wield against an empire are his ideas.
