El profeta

El profeta

Gibran, Gibran Jalil

After twelve years of exile and meditation in the city of Orphalese, the Sufi mystic Almustafa returns home. On the day of departure, before the imminent arrival of their ship, the people of Orphalese ask the prophet to speak to them about the fundamental issues of the human condition: love, work, joy, friendship, pain, beauty... Throughout the day, the prophet responds with reflections that, in their apparent simplicity, give off a deep understanding of the human condition.
