El santo de Villalobos
Martínez, Pascual
Despite having commanded the Iznájar barracks for almost half a year and having solved a crime that has elevated him within the force, Ernesto Pitana, a sergeant of the Civil Guard, cannot adapt to his new destiny. And to further complicate his existence, at dawn on Three Kings Day, the lifeless body of Martín Urquijo, a healer better known as the Saint of Villalobos -in reference to the village of Alcalá la Real where resided -, heir to a legendary lineage that has worked miracles in the area since the 19th century. In a harsh land of olive trees, an ancestral world in which nothing and no one is what it seems, Sergeant Pitana -together with Corporal Montero and his peculiar and heterogeneous team- will take charge of the investigation and will have to deal, from the start beginning, with the urgent thirst for justice of the faithful of the saint and with the singular idiosyncrasy, halfway between tradition, mistrust and religious devotion, of the inhabitants of the region.
