Adventure novel, war novel, exile and love novel, The Archer's Whistle is a journey to the myths of a past that still illuminates our present. When Aeneas, fled from the sack of Troy with his son and some men, is shipwrecked on the African coast, in front of the beaches of the city of Carthage, his fate remains in the hands of Queen Elisa. A wandering and defeated hero, a mysterious prophecy marks him as the founder of the coming Roman civilization. Centuries later, in a circular and enveloping time, the poet Virgilio will have to recreate, commissioned by the Emperor Augustus, that initial adventure and the past glories of the already victorious Empire, which hides abysses of misery and greed behind its lavish marbles.
