Els culpables
XXXI Premi de novel·la Ciutat de Tarragona Pin i Soler 2020
Quintana, Marc
Pep Palacín, alias Tallaferro, is about to die bleeding and gutted. In this slow transition from life to death, it is time to review some experiences and memories of the picturesque people who live in his village, Saurri, in the Pyrenees, near Andorra. And as he recalls this grotesque tapestry of unusual people and events, Tallaferro will try to find out who, of all of them, is the one who killed him. With only thirteen families, Saurri brings together all the passions and misdeeds imaginable: some want to make easy money with smuggling or commons; others fight to get a man, a woman, or a child; third parties are victims of their innocence, or bad luck... Often an atavistic and uncontrollable anger stains personal relationships, to the point that it is difficult to choose the possible culprits of Tallaferro's death.
