This "false life" of Gonçal Sobrer, also falsely signed by a certain Iu Canals i Rovellats, is the penultimate footprint of an irreducible artist. It serves as a portrait, as lucid as it is acidic (and funny, despite the calamities), of the world and the time in which the author has lived. Between Poblenou during the Franco regime, where he became a pastry chef and lived all the tones of repression, and the outbreak of liberation that symbolizes Sitges (where he ran one of the most emblematic hotels in the town), Gonçal Sobrer has made a path full of light, and here he leaves us a good sample. Gonçal Sobrer was born in Barcelona in 1932. In 1965, he promoted the first happening in Catalonia and Spain on the Rambla del Poblenou in Barcelona.
