This is the basis of the spectral phenomenon of "The Wild Hunt" and its different manifestations that, like supernatural hordes, populate winter nights, travel centuries and kilometers in their flight and, despite time and space, are still alive. . In these pages we embark on a legendary journey through old Europe following the blurred tracks of these magical processions. Together with pagan gods, we will search for the furious army in the cold Scandinavian lands, the headless horsemen in the lush Germanic forests, the noisy wild hunts in the French Landes, the processions of fairies in the green Welsh valleys and the infernal supernatural hounds. in the desolate British moors. At night we will travel the lonely paths of rural Spain by the dim light of candles to try to contemplate, on the ground or in the air, on foot or on horseback, an unknown troop whose name is ignored or whispered with fear: the Santa Compaña, the Mala Behtia, the Host of Souls, the Procession of the Güestia. Different names for deceased walkers who, illuminated by the moon and by the pale light of the candles, preach death on isolated paths and in sleeping villages.
