Grafismos en la obra de Goya
estudio comparativo
Sacristán Carrasco, Amparo
"Goya made his works including some characteristic lines that correspond to the letters of his last name (G-O-Y-A) in the contours, touches of light, shadows and contrasts, which could be superimposed and in any direction". These strokes are what are called graphics. This book offers a vision of what Goya's graphics are and makes a comparison of those existing in four works by the painter on the same subject: Blind Man's Chicken. Two of these works, property of the Museo del Prado, are highly recognized and the authorship is clearly Francisco de Goya y Lucientes, and the other two belong to a private collection, initially by an unknown author. Thanks to the research and knowledge of techniques and methodologies, as well as the analysis processes of the selected images carried out by its author, Amparo Sacristán, the existence of graphics in each one of them is evident, with interesting conclusions that will allow the reader, scholar or art lover, to distinguish these features in the selected works.
