Historia de una campeona

"You made me get up for this shit today?" her father snapped at Erika when she lost her first full contact final. That contemptuous question was one of the impulses that Erika needed to direct her life to victory. The contempt of her parents, the misunderstanding of her sisters, the unhealthy harassment of her partner, the indifference of her neighbors and loneliness are scenarios against which Erika must fight in several assaults, as if it were a survival tournament. And it is that in History of a champion we witness not only the rise of an athlete devoted to her passion, but also the story of a woman who fights the coldness of a society that seems to be against her.
