Historia de una maestra

In 1923 Gabriela collects her teaching degree. It is the beginning of a dream of hers that will lead her to work in various rural schools in Spain and in Equatorial Guinea. Story of a teacher is the narration, made from memory, of Gabriela's life during the twenties and until the beginning of the Civil War. Set against the background of the Republic, the October Revolution and war, this novel evokes that time of poverty, ignorance and oppression, and shows the important role of education and of those who fought to educate a country.
