Ideas para parecer feliz

In 1997 they were friends and classmates at an institute in Alcorcón. Five decades later they are almost unknown, but they have set a date to meet again at a dinner. Looking to the past helps to recognize present miseries and that is what happens to the seven protagonists. The weeks before the reunion turn into a pathetic and hilarious time trial to cover up their embarrassment. It's hard in a few days to be less old, get rid of cellulite or have a better valued job, but no one wants to burst into tears when asked: "And how are you doing?". The novel travels between 1997 and 2022 to better draw this group of disoriented, ridiculous adults stuck in their supposed failures. Only Vero, who was nicknamed La Rara, is different from everyone. She's strong, funny, independent, and the only one facing a real serious problem.
