On July 23, 2015, Law 15/2015, of July 2, on Voluntary Jurisdiction entered into force, managing to provide greater coherence and rationality to the Spanish legal system. Before the publication of the aforementioned norm, voluntary jurisdiction was regulated in the LEC, the main norm in charge of the complete organization of the civil process. Thus, with the publication of the Voluntary Jurisdiction Law, citizens were given tools to be able to assist different professionals (lawyers from the Justice Administration, notaries, property registrars and commercial registrars) in different matters that before The publication of the aforementioned law was reserved solely for the judicial sphere and was the exclusive competence of the judges.
