L'home duplicat

Saramago, José

At the age of thirty-eight, Tertuliano Máximo Alfonso is a history teacher at a high school. Lonely and depressed, he is separated from his wife and has few friends. Sporadically, however, he sees a woman whom he does not allow to enter his life. One day a co-worker recommends a movie, in which, curiously, there is an actor identical to him, even in the hairstyle and mustache he wore at the time it was shot. Faced with this discovery, Tertullian is obsessed with finding her duplicate husband.
