It all started forty years ago, when the man committed suicide in his father's car, at the farm at the end of the road. Like dominoes falling one after the other, that death unleashed ancient powers from another world, terrifying and incomprehensible to a child. This is how the horror entered his home and did everything possible to break up his family. At the end of the road, however, lived Lettie. And Lettie, inexplicably magical and incomparably cunning, swore to protect him above all else. When the child returns to the village as a man, he immediately feels called to visit the farm again. For a long time she tries not to think about anything that happened there, but as soon as she sits by the pond, behind the farm at the end of the road, she relives the day when she discovered that horror is not only the stuff of stories.
