La balada del viejo marinero
Coleridge, Samuel Taylor
An old and hardened Sailor is the one who stops one of the three. 'By the long shine of your gray beard and that of your eyes, tell why of the three you stop me. Wide open the groom's doors are open and I am a close relative; the guests have arrived and the banquet begins, can't you hear the merry din of the party? ' But with the brightness of his eyes, he retains it and the Guest remains immobile: he listens like a child to the Sailor who, at his mercy and will, has him. The Guest sat on a stone, for he could do nothing but hear the old man. And so spoke the old Sailor whose gaze shines as bright as steel.
