La cepa afgana en Barcelona
Puertas, Sergi
After successive waves of pandemics, Spain is the living embodiment of chaos. Protest demonstrations have become so frequent that they have become part of the urban landscape, the coup d'état is imminent. But the fuse is lit definitively with the attack on García Tejada: the president's neck sags backwards after receiving a bullet to the forehead. After months without receiving his salary, Ramón decides to deposit everything he owns in the bank's safe deposit box. Panic when all the bank accounts in the country are at zero, perplexity when days later they show a balance of one hundred billion euros. In this context, Ramón will try to recover his money and flee from a violent and martial Barcelona, plunged into anarchy and shaken by mass exoduses. In the course of his quest, however, he will contract the new variant of the virus and be forced to commit acts that will force him to reconsider his place in the world.
