La costilla rota de Adán

La costilla rota de Adán

costes humanos de la violencia de género

Serrano, Carmina

Despite the great achievements in equality in recent decades, gender violence is still an omnipresent reality. In the last year, 243 million women and girls around the world have suffered sexual, physical or psychological violence. In Spain, every three days a woman is murdered by her partner. Adam's broken rib is aimed at women who suffer the traumatic consequences and devastating effects of this type of naturalized violence, carried out mostly silently and psychologically. From the knowledge granted by her long history in clinical experience, the author provides us, among other aspects, the social keys to understand the causes of this phenomenon, explains how the suffering of women has been diagnosed throughout history, identifies the many hidden forms in which it is exercised, as well as the ways in which it is internalized and expanded to affective and sexual relationships, and finally provides us with psychotherapeutic tools for the recovery of victims.
