The year is 2059. Scion has taken over most of the world's cities, promising safety and stability to every citizen he deems worthy, and wiping out Clairvoyants wherever he can find them. Paige Mahoney is a nineteen-year-old clairvoyant and therefore considered a criminal, for the simple fact of existing. Paige is determined to fight Scion's power, and as part of the Seven Seals, Paige has found a way to use her powers: seek information by entering the minds of others while they dream. But when Paige is captured and arrested, she finds herself with a power more sinister than Scion's. The clairvoyant prison is located in the city of Oxford, now controlled by a powerful race from another world. These creatures, the Rephaim, highly value Farseers as soldiers for their army. Paige will be assigned to one of these creatures, the Warden, who will be in charge of her care and training. He will be her master, her natural enemy. If Paige wants to regain her freedom, she will have to learn something about her mind and the secrets that the guardian holds.
