La inocencia
Yuszczuk, Marina
In La innocencia there is a voice that begins to novel the story of a mother who decides to enter a closed and fundamentalist religion. Her daughter, who is just a baby, follows her, like a witch in the forest. From that decision, her daughter will spend her childhood and youth under the influence of "religion", trying to glimpse what she was on the other side of the fence of prohibitions with which she is protected. To tell the story -of her that spans from infancy to youth, and goes through her studies, her life as a preacher, relationships and sex life- of her, the daughter will rewrite passages from the Bible, movies and stories from fairies With these materials, very different from each other, but edited and transformed into the discourse of the novel, the narrator will have the moment of confession and trial. Fond of literature, religious invention and crossing the limits between the two, the voice that Marina Yuszczuk constructs is that of a memorable character and, with her as the protagonist, she elaborates a novel that offers many and very rich readings.
