La maldición de Las Lágrimas
Cleese, W. M.
Ursula Kelp, a young English gardener, travels to Buenos Aires to take on the position of head gardener at a long-abandoned La Pampa estate. The current owner wants to re-establish himself on the property and return the once-famous gardens to their former glory. Traveling across the vast grasslands of South America, Ursula encounters warnings from the locals about a curse haunting the estate that seeks to unleash tragedy on the founding family of Las Lágrimas. Soon, Ursula begins to believe that loneliness makes her imagine things: the sound of footsteps on the other side of her bedroom door, the ghostly touch of hands on her shoulders... And the strangest thing of all: the sound frenzy of someone cutting down trees with an ax in the nearby forest, when he knows that no one is there. As the mysterious events intensify, with tragic consequences, Ursula wonders if there might be some truth to the rumors about the estate's curse. The return of the family is imminent and the more time Ursula spends in that place, the clearer she becomes that she too is in mortal danger. Because lurking among the trees, watching her, waiting for her, is an evil force that wants The Tears for itself.
