Colombres, capital of the council of Ribadedeva. Eastern Asturias. The placid life of Berta Vega is disrupted when her daughter is kidnapped for forty-eight hours and then released more than a hundred kilometers from her house. Everything gets complicated when a second kidnapping is perpetrated that puts the police in check. In the course of the investigation, a connection is discovered between the disappearances of the teenagers and an event that occurred in Madrid twenty-five years ago. Inspector Roldán, from the Gijón National Police, and Corporal Herrero, from the Colombres Civil Guard, have a valuable clue: the substance found in the blood of the victims, a potentially hallucinogenic substance used since ancient times that is extracted from the yew tree.
