La misma orilla
Baena, Francisco
A man travels from revolutionary Russia to a lonely enclave on the Andalusian coast. Another man insists on knowing his story and writing it. A third man (or not) proposes to a heterogeneous group to complete his story. A mysterious woman spoke to the protagonist. And a small beach, converted into text, is filled with echoes that converse with the waves, keeps the secret of a life and offers, indolently, traces to save it from oblivion. Francisco Baena, a professional agent on the contemporary art scene, has used some of his characteristic procedures (metanarrative games, work with archives, appropriation, fake, the collage principle) to assemble a discursive artifact that Once he presents an exceptional case, he shows the process of his writing, and questions the possibility of really getting to know what an identity hides. Through a series of voices and characters, and with different registers, a short but intense novel is articulated, which is also a question and a warning about the increasingly evident importance of the story.
