La oscuridad es un lugar
Castellarnau, Ariadna
In these eight stories, Ariadna Castellarnau delves into the realm of dark fantasy to explore the strange and dark side of human relationships. A girl who takes refuge in the jungle running away from her family meets a wild teenager who tries to help her; two brothers, one of whom has a deformity that makes her a fascinating being, compete with each other for the family role together with absent parents in their role; a couple on an island try to find meaning in their life while deciding what to do with a mysterious abandoned baby. The protagonists of these stories are mothers, fathers, brothers, sons and daughters who move in an uncertain, curvilinear territory. The author likes to lead her characters to meet the strange, not because she wants anything wonderful to happen to them, but because it is in that twisted mirror where they can see themselves better, discover who they really are.
