La piel muda
Premio Valencia de narrativa en castellano Alfons el Magnànim 2022
López Serrano, Francisco M.
From a hospital bed where he is cloistered after suffering a stroke, the narrator of The Mute Skin, a disbelieving gallery owner, recalls his turbulent past tormented by the need to give meaning to his cloisteredness. Turned into a sort of object thrown into the landfill (de objet trouvé), he only aspires to redeem himself through art, so he conceives the plan of turning himself into a work of art, into the object of a hair-raising performance that will constitute his terrible revenge against himself and against the world.
