La tradición de la intradición
historias de la filosofía española entre 1843 y 1973
Méndez Baiges, Víctor
Sanz del Río, Francisco Giner, Miguel de Unamuno, Ortega, Zubiri, García Morente, Santiago Ramírez, Rafael Calvo Serer, José Luis L. Aranguren, Julián Marías, Manuel Sacristán, Gustavo Bueno, Javier Muguerza or Fernando Savater are some of the names that pass through the stories collected in this book, which take place in the Spanish university between the date of the creation of the nineteenth-century Faculty of Philosophy and the end of the Franco regime. Since the treatment of these stories emphasizes what they have of continuity and discontinuity, what their whole provides is the life of an intellectual tradition. This reconstruction does not ignore that Spanish philosophy today feels frankly separated from its past, which it considers absurd, stuck in basic problems or overturned towards the national question. Nor that many will reject that the reconstructed tradition is our best philosophical tradition, or the Spanish tradition par excellence. He trusts, even so, that no one will deny that the story he tells is that of people willing to fulfill a mission. The kind of thing that needs to be told.
