La vida en un minuto
Lucero, José Antonio
In the winter of 1943, Madrid stretches out among the ruins of the war. In the suburbs of the city, Daniel hides her true identity and, with it, his past in the conflict. In the other Madrid, the one with the social cafes and the shop windows on Serrano Street, Julita begins to study letters at the university and feels the need to separate herself from the future that her family had always set for her. United by the force of fate, the two young men will coincide on a long journey on the express from Madrid to La Coruña, fleeing from what others have planned for them. There they will meet and see their complicity born, without knowing that the train is heading for a catastrophe that will change their lives forever. Life in a Minute rescues a sadly unknown post-war episode, the tragedy of a railway crash that left hundreds of victims and was silenced by the Franco regime press. He does it to show us that love and life can sometimes be born out of the rubble.
