Depressives, come out of the closet! With that forcefulness, the journalist Anxo Lugilde addressed those who, like him, live conditioned by the heavy slab of depression. It was in November 2020, first on the radio and later in a personal chronicle that he published in La Vanguardia and that he had a great echo in networks, highlighting that there were many who accompanied him on that same journey. La Vieja Compañera is a chronicle that travels with irony through the professional and personal life of someone who, from a young age, lives with that ailment that bursts into life with an exterminating plan, and which only remains to fight on a battlefield that is not another than the body itself. This is a moving and fierce testimony, an open letter to depressed comrades that aims to open the way to visibility and help in any way possible those who still suffer from this terrible stigma.
