The disappearance in the middle of filming of a film director is the first case that inspector Mar Lanza investigates when she is assigned to Cantabria. Escaping from a shady affair that has made her an outcast among her colleagues from the National Police, Lanza faces a mysterious murderer and a case that shocks public opinion. Few know that she herself was the only survivor of another controversial case never solved and that has marked her life since she was a child. After many years, she returns to the mountain where she was born, the place from which she fled thinking she would never return.
