Two deaths, a disappearance and a secret that will put everyone in danger. One morning in December, Cara Dunne is found hanging in her bathroom. She is dressed as a wedding and everything indicates that it is a suicide, but that same afternoon the police find another body, that of nurse Fiona Heffernan, in front of the hospital in the town of Ballydoon. Fiona was to be married the next day and was also wearing a wedding dress at the time of her death. Inspector Lottie Parker senses that these deaths are not mere suicides, and as she begins the investigation, she discovers another piece of the disturbing puzzle: Fiona's eight-year-old daughter has disappeared. From that moment on, Lottie embarks on a frantic quest to find the murderer and save the girl. However, the people of Ballydoon keep a dangerous secret, and anyone could be the culprit.
