Las campanas de Santiago
San Sebastián, Isabel
Compostela, year 997 of Our Lord. Almanzor, "the Scourge of God", is about to destroy the city of the Apostle Santiago, beacon of Hispanic Christianity and the destination of a secular pilgrimage route. Amid the confusion, Tiago, a humble blacksmith, separates from his wife, Mencía, pregnant with a child. She manages to flee. He is captured and forced to carry the bells of the basilica with other prisoners to Córdoba on a journey fraught with danger. Thus begins a frenetic adventure that will force Mencía to fight for survival while Tiago desperately tries to return to his side.
