Las conversaciones privadas de Hitler
Trevor-Roper, H. R.
We knew his deeds and speeches well, but we ignored almost everything about his personality and ideas until this official record of the Fuehrer's after-dinner conversations with members of his environment was discovered. Bormann, convinced that these ideas were to be "of fundamental interest for the future" ensured that, from July 1941 to November 1944, the private conversations in which Hitler spoke freely of his life were faithfully recorded Before and of his struggles, he anticipated his plans for the future of Germany and the world, or expressed his views on people, religion, and politics. In 1954, a Spanish edition of this text was made, grotesquely mutilated, with a total of 134 cuts that implied the suppression of nearly a hundred pages in which Hitler referred to Spain and to Spanish politicians, religion and Church.
